Min yr Afon Cottage is a traditional, 2 bedroomed, Welsh, stone cottage sleeping 4 that can be booked on its own or in conjunction with its detached modern annex (ref no: 32705) to accommodate a larger family or group of friends. Sympathetically renovated throughout, it still retains a traditional feel but with modern facilities and fitted kitchen and bathroom. The lounge with beams and wood burner stove to relax round on chillier evenings has stairs leading to the cosy bedrooms set in the eaves. The delightful terrace garden rises behind the cottage and is an enchanting place with a decked patio where you can to enjoy a barbecue or alfresco meal, or if you prefer relax in the summerhouse. Shared steps lead up in-between the cottage and annexe to the garden which is for the use of the cottage residents.
Situated down a quiet lane in the heart of Solva, it is just a short walk from the picturesque drying harbour and low tide beach, play area and range of gift shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path which is very close to the cottage. Why not explore this world renowned beautiful rugged coastline with its hidden coves and beaches. Solva is within the Pembrokeshire National Park. The tiny historical city of St Davids with its excellent facilities, Cathedral and Bishops Palace is only 3 miles away or to the east lies the long sandy beach of Newgale, popular with surfers and water sports enthusiasts.
This is a wonderful holiday cottage for just a couple or a small family to get away to out of season.

The cottage is approached via an A-road, you turn into a small private no through road. There is one parking space outside each of the properties (cottage and annex) plus additonal spaces in nearby car park - seasonal car parking charges. You enter the property via a small carpeted hallway – with one small threshold step. The lounge is carpeted. The bathroom is up 1 step (approximately 5”) – the bathroom has a non slip mat for the bath with integral hand rails. The kitchen is up 1 step (approximately 5”) and there is exit from this room to outside (with a threshold step only). The carpeted stairs have a quarter of a turn on the 3rd and 4th steps. There is a banister and also a half hand rail on both sides. NB The stairs go all the way up to the back of the cottage,there is no landing - you step directly off the stairs into each bedroom. Care is needed when leaving the bedrooms as you step directly onto the stairs (the depth of the step can vary depending on the part of the doorway). There is a separate annex - access is via one threshold step – there is a half turn on the stairs with a banister/ hand rail. The televisions have remote controls – there is a telephone in the lounge for incoming calls and emergency outgoing calls. Some mobiles work in on the terrace and also the bedrooms. There is a terraced garden to the rear of the house – there is a small hand gate to this and various steps that lead you to the 2 sitting areas. There is a covered pond and also a small summerhouse. Hand rails are not to all levels, care is needed.
